Estimation of the managers of the business entities in the manufacturing industry
about the business situation in March 2011

According to the data of the State Statistical Offce, the business situation in March 2011 according to the managers is more
satisfactory compared to the previous month, as well as compared to March 2010. The situation with the present volume of
production orders is more satisfactory compared to the previous month. The production volume of the business entities in March
2011 increased compared to the previous month; the expectations for the production volume are more favourable for the next
three months, such as the expectations for the number of employees. The stocks of raw materials and intermediate goods and the
purchases of raw materials and intermediate goods in March 2011 are below and around the normal level. The stocks of fnished
products increased in March 2011 compared to the previous month. According to managers' estimate, in the next period, the
average purchasing prices of the inputs , as well as the average selling prices of the fnished goods will increase. The average
capacity utilization level of the business entities in March 2011 is 61.6% of the normal utilization. The factors that had the greatest
infuence on limiting the production volume in March 2011 were: insuffcient foreign demand with 19.8%, insuffcient domestic
demand with 17.9%, fnancial problems with 12.7% and uncertainty of the economic environment with 10.6%.
