Estimation of the managers of the business entities from the construction sector about the business situation in the first quarter of 2013

According to the data from the State Statistical Office, the managers of the business entities engaged in construction
assessed that the business situation in the first quarter of 2013 is more satisfactory compared to the previous one,
as well as compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The assessment of the financial situation of their
business entities is that it is better compared to the previous quarter, as well as better compared to the same one of
the previous year.
The expectations for the number of employees for the next period are favourable, the assessment of the present
situation with orders is considered more satisfactory compared to the previous quarter. The quantity and quality of
the business entities' mechanization and equipment are improving and they are above the normal level. The selling
prices are expected to be at the same level as in the previous period.
The factors that had the greatest influence on limiting the improvement of the present construction activity were:
increased material expenditures with 24.5%, no demand with 18.8%, competition in the same sector with 12.1% and
increased financial expenditures (interests) with 10.8%.
