Estimation of the managers of the business entities from the construction sector about the business situation in the fourth quarter of 2014

According to the data from the State Statistical Office, the managers of the business entities engaged in construction
assessed that the business situation in the fourth quarter of 2014 is more satisfactory compared to the previous one,
and better compared to the fourth quarter of the previous year. The assessment of the financial situation of their
business entities is at the same level as in the previous quarter, but better compared to the fourth quarter of 2013.


The expectations for the number of employees for the next period are at the same level as in the previous quarter,
the assessment of the present situation with orders is less satisfactory compared to the previous quarter, while
the expectations for the total orders (contracts) for the next 3 months are favourable. The quantity and quality of
the business entities' mechanization and equipment are above the normal level. The selling prices are expected to
decrease in the next period.


The factors that had the greatest influence on limiting the improvement of the present construction activity were: no
demand with 21.8%, unsatisfactory weather conditions with 15.5%, competition in the same sector with 12.2% and
increased material expenditures with 11.0%.
