Business tendencies in construction, second quarter of 2017

The managers of the business entities assessed that the confidence indicator in construction in the second quarter of 2017 is 0.7
percentage points higher than the previous quarter, and 1.2 percentage points higher compared to the same quarter of 2016.


The expectations for the total orders (contracts) are more favourable compared to the previous quarter, and the number of
employees is expected to increase during the next 3 months.


The assessment of the economic situation in the second quarter of 2017 is more favourable compared to the previous quarter,
as well as compared to the same quarter of 2016. The current situation with orders (contracts) for construction works and the
financial situation are assessed as more favourable compared to the previous quarter.


The selling prices are expected to decrease in the next period, while the quantity and quality of the business entities' machinery
and equipment in the second quarter of 2017 are above the normal level.


The factors that had the greatest influence on limiting the improvement of the current construction activity were: increased
material expenditures with 22.9%, no demand with 16.0%, none with 15.1% and increased financial expenditures (interests)
with 11.3%.
