Estimation of the managers of the business entities engaged in retail trade about their business situation in the third quarter of 2010

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the managers of the business entities assessed that the business situation of their business entities engaged in retail trade in the third quarter of 2010 is more satisfactory compared to the same quarter of 2009, as well as compared to the second one of 2010. Their financial situation in the third quarter of 2010 is much more satisfactory than in the previous one. Their expectations for the business situation for the next period are less optimistic. The managers of the business entities assessed that their stocks increased in the third quarter of 2010, compared to the second one of the same year. The assessment of the orders expected for the next period is more satisfactory, and the expectations for the number of employees are much more optimistic compared to the previous quarter.

The managers of the business entities assessed that the selling prices of the goods in the third quarter of 2010 decreased compared to the second quarter of 2010. Their assessment of the expectations for the selling prices during the next 3 months is that they will increase slightly. The factors that had the greatest influence on limiting the business situation of the business entities in the third quarter of 2010 were: low demand with 36.8%, increased competition with 15.1%, increased financial expenditures (interests) with 10.2% and increased offer on the market with 8.8%.
