Estimation of the managers of the business entities engaged in retail trade about their business situation in the fourth quarter of 2014

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the managers of the business entities assessed that the business situation of
their business entities engaged in retail trade in the fourth quarter of 2014 is less satisfactory compared to the third quarter of 2014,
and less satisfactory compared to the fourth one of 2013.
Their financial situation in the fourth quarter of 2014 is less satisfactory compared to the previous one. Their expectations for the
business situation for the next period are more favourable compared to the previous quarter.
The managers of the business entities assessed that their stocks decreased in the fourth quarter of 2014 compared to the third one
of 2014.
The assessment of the orders expected for the next period is that they will increase, while the expectations for the number of
employees are that it will decrease.
The managers of the business entities assessed that the selling prices of the goods in the fourth quarter of 2014 decreased compared
to the third one of 2014.
Their assessment of the expectations for the selling prices during the next 3 months is that they will decrease compared to the
previous quarter. The factors that had the greatest influence on limiting the business situation of the business entities in the fourth
quarter of 2014 were: low demand with 33.1%, increased offer on the market with 15.8%, increased competition with 15.4%, and
other (unfair competition, weak collection) with 11.0%.
