Business tendencies in retail trade, first quarter of 2016

The managers of the business entities assessed that the confidence indicator in retail trade in the first quarter of 2016 is 0.7
percentage points higher than the previous quarter, and 0.7 percentage points higher compared to the same quarter of 2015.
The economic situation is more favourable in the first quarter of 2016 compared to the fourth quarter of 2015, as well as
compared to the same quarter of 2015, and the expectations for the economic situation are more favourable for the next two
quarters. The quantities of the current stocks have decreased compared to the previous quarter.
The financial situation in the first quarter of 2016 is more favourable compared to the fourth quarter of 2015, and the expectations
for the orders for the next period and for the number of employees are that they will increase.
The selling prices in the first quarter of 2016 have increased compared to the previous quarter, and the expectations for the
selling prices for the next three months are that they will increase.
The factors that had the greatest influence on limiting the business situation of the business entities in the first quarter of 2016
were: low demand with 21.1%, increased competition with 21.0% and increased offer on the market with 15.0%.
