Balance of electrical energy by months, 2011 - preliminary data -


According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in 2011, in the gross national electricity consumption in the
Republic of Macedonia, which was 9 552 855 MWh, the share of domestic production was 72.0%, while imports
accounted for 28.0%.
The biggest consumers of electricity in 2011 were the households with a share of 35.0%, the industrial sections
(energy section plus industry) with 28.3%, and the other sections with 17.2% of the gross national electricity
Own consumption (in production, transmission and distribution) of electricity in 2011 was 5%, while distribution
losses were 14.5% of the gross national electricity consumption.
