According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in the first quarter of 2013, 65.1% of the households had access to the Internet at home, which is 6.8 percentage points more in comparison with the same period in 2012. Participation of the households with broadband connection in the total number of households increased from 58.1% in 2012 to 65.0% in 2013.
Almost all (99.8%) of the households with Internet access had broadband (fixed or mobile) connection to the Internet.
In the first quarter of 2013, 66.3% of the total population aged 15-74 used a computer, while 65.4% used the Internet. Internet was most used by pupils and students, i.e. 99.2%.
34.3% of the Internet users in the first quarter of 2013 used a mobile phone or a smart phone for accessing the Internet away from home or work.
