According to the preliminary data of the State Statistical Office, the total value of exported goods from the Republic of North Macedonia in the period January-November 2023 amounted to 471 881 185 thousand denars, a 0.1% increase compared to the same period last year. The value of imported goods in the same period was 627 225 640 thousand denars, or 8.4% less than the same period last year.
The trade deficit in the period January-November 2023 was 155 344 455 thousand denars.
Import coverage by export in the period January-November 2023 was 75.2%.
The external trade by products shows that in the exports the most significant products are supported catalysts with precious metal or precious metal compounds as the active substance, ignition wiring sets and other wiring sets of a kind used in vehicles, aircraft or ships, parts of the seats of subgroup 821.1 and other supported catalysts. In the imports, the most significant products are petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude), other metals of the platinum group and alloys thereof, unwrought or in powder form, platinum and platinum alloys, unwrought or in powder form and motor vehicles for the transport of persons, n.e.s..
In the period January-November 2023, according to the total external trade volume, the most important trade partners of the Republic of North Macedonia were Germany, Great Britain, Greece, China and Serbia.
Expressed in euros, the total value of exported goods from the Republic of North Macedonia in the period January-November 2023 amounted to 7 664 415 thousand euros, a 0.2% increase compared to the same period last year, while the value of imported goods in the same period was 10 187 892 thousand euros, or 8.3% less than the same period last year. The trade deficit in the period January- November 2023 was 2 523 477 thousand euros.
The total value of exported goods from the Republic of North Macedonia in the period January-November 2023 amounted to 8 278 942 thousand US dollars, a 3.0% increase compared to the same period last year, while the value of imported goods in the same period was 11 006 101 thousand US dollars, or 5.8% less than the same period last year. The trade deficit in the period January-November 2023 was 2 727 159 thousand US dollars.
