External trade volume, January-August 2015

According to the preliminary data of the State Statistical Office, the total value of exported goods from the Republic of Macedonia
in the period January-August 2015 was 160 089 953 thousand denars, equivalent to 2 889 817 thousand US dollars or 2 599 025
thousand euros.
The total value of imported goods in the Republic of Macedonia in the period January-August 2015 amounted to 228 838 749
thousand denars, equivalent to 4 128 421 thousand US dollars or 3 715 134 thousand euros.
The trade deficit in the period January-August 2015 was 68 748 796 thousand denars, equivalent to 1 238 604 thousand US
dollars or 1 116 110 thousand euros.
Import coverage by export in the period January-August was 70.0%.
The external trade by products shows that in the exports the most significant products are supported catalysts with precious
metal or precious metal compounds as the active substance, ferro-nickel, ignition wiring sets and other wiring sets of a kind used
in vehicles, aircraft or ships, iron and steel products (flat-rolled products). In the imports, the most significant products are the
platinum and platinum alloys, unwrought or in powder form, petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other
than crude), electricity and other metals of the platinum group and alloys thereof, unwrought or in powder form.
