External trade volume, January-December 2015

According to the preliminary data of the State Statistical Office, the total value of exported goods from the Republic of Macedonia,
in the period January-December 2015, was 249 613 508 thousand denars, equivalent to 4 489 934 thousand US dollars or
4 051 230 thousand euros.
The total value of imported goods in the Republic of Macedonia, in the period January-December 2015, amounted to
355 947 711 thousand denars, equivalent to 6 399 867 thousand US dollars or 5 776 935 thousand euros.
The trade deficit, in the period January - December 2015, was 106 334 203 thousand denars, equivalent to 1 909 933 thousand
US dollars or 1 725 705 thousand euros.
Import coverage by export, in the period January-December 2015, was 70.2%.
The external trade by products shows that in the exports the most significant products are supported catalysts with precious
metal or precious metal compounds as the active substance, ferro-nickel, ignition wiring sets and other wiring sets of a kind used
in vehicles, aircraft or ships, iron and steel products (flat-rolled products). In the imports, the most significant products are the
platinum and platinum alloys, unwrought or in powder form, petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other
than crude), electricity and other metals of the platinum group and alloys thereof, unwrought or in powder form.
