According to the data of State Statistical Office, the number of parking lots and garages in 2018 was 196, having an area of 582 753 m². According to the processed data, 22 034 parking spaces are in an open space, 2 181 parking spaces are in covered garages, while in the multi-storey car park there are 4 952 spaces. In comparison with 2017, the number of parking lots and garages is increased by 0.5%. In the same period, the number of parking spaces was increased by 3.49%, while the number of parking spaces in the covered garages decreased by 0.14% and in the covered garages by 20.1%. In 2018, the number of out door parking spaces for persons with special needs was 460, parking spaces in covered garages was 51, while in the multi-storey garages was 149. This survey covers business entities that provide public parking in Republic of North Macedonia and the parking lots of the municipalities.
