State Statistical Office of the Republic of Macedonia

In accordance with the Law on State Statistics, the type, number and scope of statistical surveys, which are conducted in the Republic of Macedonia, are defined with the Five-Year Statistical Programme. The last one refers to the period 2018-2022 and in this document, adopted by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, are defined the statistical surveys conducted by the State Statistical Office of the Republic of Macedonia and other actors in the statistical system.

In order to make available this document to our foreign users, the State Statistical Office has translated into English language the part of the Programme referring to the statistical surveys conducted by the State Statistical Office. Due to lack of human resources, the abstract for statistical surveys conducted by other actors will be done additionally, when resources will be available. The other actors in Statistical Program are: National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia, Ministry of Finance, Republic Health Care Office, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Justice, Employment Agency, pension Fund, Hydro-methorological Office.

In this text are translated parts of the Programme which will help users to have information about the kind of statistical surveys conducted by the State Statistical Office, periodicity of the surveys, data collection method, territorial level and use of national legislation.
