Today, the director of the State Statistical Office, Mr. Dejan Stankov, had a meeting with Mrs. Margarita Spasenovska, representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in the office in Skopje.
The importance of cooperation between SSO and WHO was emphasized at the meeting within the framework of the establishment of a system of health accounts, as well as the need to strengthen the capacities of the institutions responsible for the health and statistical system in our country, in order to dynamize the activities related to the development of health statistics.
The director of the Institute emphasized that the activities for developing health statistics and plans for data transmission to Eurostat are a priority, included in a twinning project financed by the EU.
Activities for developing the system of health accounts, as one of the most comprehensive and detailed at the global level, will continue in the future.
