The director of the State Statistics Office, Mr. Dejan Stankov, today in the premises of the SSO held a meeting with the director of the Customs Administration, Mr. Boban Nikolovski, at which strengthening and deepening of inter-institutional cooperation and intensification of electronic data exchange activities were discussed.
The main purpose of the State Statistics Office is digitization of processes and increased use of the administrative sources in the production of official statistical data. In the direction of further harmonizing, modernizing and improving the systems, both sides committed to changing the way of downloading data from the System for processing customs declarations and excise documents and introducing electronic data exchange, which is an extremely important step.
In order to intensify cooperation and publish quality, timely and relevant statistical data, the director of the State Statistics Office, Mr. Stankov and the director of the Customs Administration, Mr. Nikolovski agreed to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two institutions in the coming period.
